Recently we received a request for Effer-K samples from a young woman, Lisa, in San Francisco who suffers from congestive heart failure. Because of her condition, she takes high doses of diuretics that leave her potassium levels dangerously low. As a result, her potassium dosages have increased from 40 mEqs per day to 80!  In addition, she has a severe acid reflux condition, so potassium chloride really irritates her stomach.

Out of desperation, she searched for an alternative to KCl and found Effer-K and immediately contacted us. We worked with Lisa to get her samples and then get the product stocked in her pharmacy.
